IFS Intensive Training in Pakistan

Interested in learning or expanding your therapeutic practice in IFS work?

Ascension Academy offers the only depth-oriented training of its kind in the region.

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems is a parts-based model for understanding personality, psychological patterns and responses, and is widely used in psychotherapy as well as personal development practice.

About the Training

A complete intensive overview and advanced skill-building course on the Internal Family Systems therapeutic model for mental health practitioners. Hailed as a breakthrough approach by Bassel van der Kolk (author of Your Body Keeps the Score) and extensively used by Gabor Mate and other lead trauma practitioners, IFS has become one of the most well-regarded therapeutic paradigms in the world with trainings in IFS being highly sought after.

This is a one of a kind programme being developed and offered in Pakistan with focus on depth, clinical skill building and practitioner development. Through this training we will not only explore the IFS model theoretically to better understand its implementation in the therapeutic space, participants will also be able to experientially explore the model through supervised practice sessions, skill building segments and digging deeper into their own Internal Family Systems.

This training is for you if:
– You are an experienced therapist who has been exposed to IFS but are looking to deepen your understanding of the model and develop advanced skills for challenging situations.
– If you are a new/trainee therapist who wants to learn the model in-depth, learn practical skills, and receive guidance and supervision in a supportive learning community.
– You want to consolidate the latest intergenerational trauma and holistic healing modalities in your work, including iFS, family constellations, polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing and shamanic healing concepts.

Attendee Testimonials

Being from Ayesha’s first batch of the IFS training, I’m dropping in a detailed review of honest feedback from my experience for those who might be considering joining.
Ayesha always handles her courses really well, she comes planned and having researched and every class builds upon the previous ones in its own way and you do see an obvious progression in your understanding or acquisition of whatever you were meant to learn.

Even if you’re a trainee therapist, the gap in understanding is bridged soon enough as the theory itself is new, simple, intuitive, and incredibly useful across the spectrum of life experiences. It is also one of the latest researches and is constantly being developed in various parts of the world. A new modality in the therapy world, Ayesha is one of the only skilled practitioners in Pak currently who can do justice to teaching it.

So my advice would be to go for it, it’s worth the time and the money and it’s become an almost _obvious_ choice for currently practicing therapists who come across it, given the nature and practical applicability of the approach. The terminology is relevant, and the case studies are eye-opening.

Every session consists of a range of practical activities, from initially learning how to apply elements of the theoretical framework upon oneself, to exploring various meditations and real-life productions like music, interviews, and poetry, some creative process, somatic exercises, and a lot of fishbowls!
One of the best parts of IFS is how the approach engulfs your sensibilities in a manner that allows you to go really deep in a short amount of time, making the exploratory or healing process quite effective for yourself, and your clients.
